UL® certification ensures your product and its marking and labeling systems meet safety standards for performance, durability, and regulatory compliance.

No. A UL recognized component is part of a complete system, while UL listed applies
to standalone products that meet all UL standards.

No. Only a UL authorized label supplier can print the UL® mark using UL recognized component systems.

Materials must meet UL 969 and include tested combinations of polyester, vinyl and thermal transfer ribbons to qualify as a UL recognized component. No Lexan/3M material.

Using individual UL recognized materials does not make your label UL® compliant. The entire label construction must be tested together to be a UL approved label.

These are complete sets of materials (face stock, adhesive, ink, overlaminate or varnish) tested as one system.
