Direct Thermal labels have a special coating that turns black when exposed to heat and do not require ink, toner, or ribbon. Thermal transfer labels need a ribbon to make an image when the printer transfers it onto the label.
People use Direct Thermal labels for a short time, usually a few days to a few months. After printing and applying, Thermal Transfer labels can last for years.
Most desktop printers for UPS and FedEx shipping will use a 1" core or Fanfold label option. Industrial printers can fit larger 3" core rolls and will also work with Fanfold labels. For mobile roll labels we offer a ¾” core.
Direct thermal labels are meant to be used for shorter term applications. Common applications include shipping labels, bakery and deli labels, and event tickets.
Blank labels have a general purpose permanent adhesive

We currently offer stock of Orange (021), Red (185), Green (351), Blue (290), Pink (1767), and Pantone Yellow in the size 4" x 6" blank labels. Many other options are available as custom.
Roll labels are wound around a cardboard core or fanfolded and must be printed on a dedicated label printer. Roll labels are ideal for higher-speed printing.
Fanfold labels are on a continuous liner that is stacked and folded along perforations. Fan fold labels are ideal for high-volume printing.
Sheet labels are on a layflat liner, with each label die cut into the sheet. Sheet labels are intended for use in home or office printers.
Most laser and inkjet labels are printed on 8.5” x 11” sheets and have 250 sheets per pack. We offer the most common label sizes for laser and inkjet printers. Please contact us for our full range of sizes.
