Just like individuals, businesses may want to make some resolutions for the New Year. Sometimes, those resolutions may even take the same form! Consider these to make your business better in 2020.
Reflect and Revise
Reflect on what worked and what didn’t in 2019. Use the answers to those questions for plan with purpose in 2020. Consider how to improve your relations with your customers and clients, your vendors, your employees. Communication is key and there’s always room for growth!
Lose the “Excess Weight”
And keep it off! Do you have inventory left over? You might want to consider price breaks after the holidays to move some of that out and clear up space for the future. In the new year, think about what you can order less of and what went faster than expected. Are there any trends there? Can you do more “just in time” ordering or improve efficiency in other ways?
Likewise, it’s nice to start the new year from a clean, uncluttered space. Do you have physical assets that are past their prime or that need some maintenance? Update or replace these. Malfunctioning equipment can cost you plenty in lost time, or worse yet, possible injury to staff.
If you’re not already online, get there! These days, mobile is the place to be. Got something to sell? Check out Instagram Shopping! There’s even an easy “get started” guide. Consider other ways to amp up your marketing and brand awareness, such as interactive marketing.
Refresh and Renew
Breaking away from the same-old is always refreshing. It’s a new decade. Is it time to tweak your brand? Put a fresh coat of paint on your website or your products? You may want to do this in conjunction with getting more social. Test out new colors or designs and see what your customers think.
