The distance from which you are scanning is important in determining the correct material and correct individual bar width which determines the overall width of the label
- 4 feet to 11 feet: (40 mil is narrowest bar in the barcode).
- 26 feet to 35 feet: (100 mil is narrowest bar in the barcode).

Rack labels are available in reflective and polyester materials. For closer scanning of smaller characters we use white polyester film. For larger characters scanned from greater distances, we use retro reflective material. Our instant quoter will help you select the best material.

Code 39 (alphanumeric)
Can encode uppercase letters (A through Z), digits (0 through 9) and a some special characters like the $ sign. The barcode does not contain a check digit like Code 128.
Also called "USS Code 39", "Code 3/9", "Code 3 of 9", "USD-3", "Alpha39", "Type 39".
Code 128 (alphanumeric)
Can encode uppercase letters (A through Z), digits (0 through 9) and all 128 ASCII symbols and characters. Once called ISO/IEC 15417:2007.
