APPLICATION TIPS

We add a special "dots" release pattern to our hologram labels that make tampering very evident. Some secuirty labels and seals use words like "VOID" or "OPENED" or they use other shapes or symbols. These stickers also use a release construction similar to the "dot" approach.

Typically, the release pattern will appear when an attempt to remove a from its appliaction surface is attempted. Please note that certain conditions can cause the tamper evident "dots" or other to beinadvertently activated when the label is in the process of being affixed to its application surface. This is called "pre-triggering".

Here are some tips to help you avoid "pre-triggering" of the tamper evident feature:

Minimize Contact
Minimize contact and pressure with the adhesive (sticky) side of the label. Using the lightest possible pressure to manually remove the label from the liner. Transfer to your finger tip and then immediately apply the label to the application surface. The more the adhesive side is handled with pressure, the more likely the tamper evident feature will "pre-trigger" and activate.

Try Using Skin Moisturizers
Before removing labels, rub skin moisturizerin to the tips of the fingers that will contact the adhesive side of the label. This added moisture will reduce the chance of activating the tamper evident "dots" during application. Dry or chapped finger tips, are more likely to "pre-trigger" or activate the tamper evident "dots".

Use "Rubber Finger Tips"
Wearing common rubber finger tips on the finger that will contact the adhesive side of the sticker can also reduce "pre-striggering". Choose rubber finger tips that have smooth sides rather than nubby sides. The smooth side works better. If nubby sides are all tha you have, turn the rubber finger tip inside out to expose the smooth side. Most office supply stores stock rubber finger tips in their enevelope and paper sections.

Remove the label from the roll with you finger tip,
using as little contact and pressure as possible.

Flag The Label
Flagging the label means to peel back a portion of the liner (backer) to expose a small area of the adhesive (sticky) side of the label. Apply the the exposed are of the adhesive to the application surface, then peel away the remainder of the liner to fully attach the label.

Peel back the label from the roll or liner to expose just enough adhesive so your labels start sticking to the desired surface.

Do Not Use Metal Or Plastic Instruments
Using a knife blades, tweezers or any hard, dry tool or device is NOT recommended for affixing hologram labels with relases patterns. Hard, dry surfaces will cause pre-trgiiering of the tamper evident release "dots" or pattern.
