    We offer a variety of materials to suit your custom control panel, graphic overlay and name plate needs. We offer UL materials, RoHS compliant materials, subsurface printed materials including Lexan® and materials developed to meet different environmental situations.     Adhesives:

      When Lexan® Polycarbonate is selected as your material of choice, there is an option for adhesives. We offer your choice of three 3M adhesives to suit your needs.

      -3M 468 – 2 mil adhesive rough surfaces details
       -3M 300-LSE – 2 mil adhesive smooth surfaces details


    Adhesive Free Areas:

      Windows and areas where the control panel will cover push buttons are areas where adhesive may not be desired.

      We recommend our 10-mil Lexan® polycarbonate for control panels with adhesive free areas for best results as the adhesive is applied after the subsurface printing is complete.

      Adhesive areas can come in almost any shape and size. A minimum .250" of adhesive is required at the perimeter for guaranteed adhesion.

      Specify adhesive free areas in your art file. Allow .050" tolerance around all windows.



    UL & RoHS:

    Many of our control panel products meet the requirements for UL (Underwriters Laboratories) recognized systems and are also RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant.

    UL compliance - If your control panel or nameplate requires UL recognition, be sure you have checked the UL box at the top of the quoter. This will limit your options to only those that fit the UL criteria. All of our control panel printing colors qualify.

    RoHS compliance - If your control panel or nameplate requires RoHS compliance, you can be assured that all of our materials and adhesives will meet your needs. The transparent colors and standard printing colors are all compliant with the exception of any color containing yellow or orange.

    • We offer 50+ printing colors to choose from. These printing colors will be opaque. If your control panel or faceplate has transparent windows, white will automatically be chosen to back all printing in these colors.


    In addition to our standard colors, we can produce hundreds of other PMS colors by combining our standard colors below.

    (Note that this technique will always be more costly than using a single standard color, and it is not appropriate for certain types of graphics like small text or thin lines where registration of the two colors would be a problem.)

    LexSaver® is not actually a printable substrate, but rather our unique process of combining a 5 mil velvet Lexan® overlaminate with any of our standard substrates. The most common substrate is 2 mil white polyester, and when used in place of subsurface printed Lexan®, a control panel or nameplate produced with the LexSaver® process can be more economical for jobs which would otherwise require a white flood coat and have a large number of internal cutouts.

Proof Policy

We strongly urge you to request a proof. Digital web proofs are free.

How The Proof Process Works:
• Within 24-48 hours (not including Saturday, Sunday, or Holidays) of receipt of your artwork, you will receive an email with proof instructions.
• The email will include a link to your proof and instructions for approving or indicating changes to your proof online.
• If you make changes, a new proof will be prepared and you will be emailed once the revised proof has been posted.
• We will notify you of any charges due to artwork modifications before we start production.
• Once approved, your artwork is immediately sent to production.

IMPORTANT
If you waive a proof by selecting “No Proof” your order will be released to production immediately. No changes or alterations to your order will be possible. Any changes to or cancellation of a “No Proof” order will be charged for the full price of job. We are not responsible for artwork related errors or color variations in the finished product if you select “No Proof”.

ARTWORK INFORMATION AND POLICIES
• Artwork touching the edge of the design must extend at least 1/8” beyond the die-line in the art file for products allowing bleeds.
• We strongly urge you to provide a 300dpi or higher file in .pdf format. (low resolution artwork pulled from the web will not work)
• If You Are Not Providing a pdf file:
    • We can work with the most recent Macintosh and Windows versions of:
        § Adobe® Illustrator® saved as .ai, .eps, or .pdf
        § Adobe® Photoshop® saved with layers as .tiff, .eps, or .psd
        § QuarkXPress ™ collect for output
        §Adobe® InDesign® and Adobe® CS® package files
    • All text in your artwork should be submitted with fonts outlined (converted to curves or paths). Note: be sure artwork is correct.
    • Editing of text will not be available with outlined fonts. If artwork is submitted with fonts, all screen and printer fonts need to be included when file is uploaded.
    • If an IBM font is used in your electronic file, the printer and screen font must be supplied.
    • Providing fonts will ensure we can make any changes to your text if necessary.
    • All photographic image files should be in CMYK format.
    • Keep design in one program - i.e. do not place image in Illustrator®, then place the Illustrator® file in QuarkXpress™.

Additional Charges:
If additional charges apply, you will be notified within 24 Hours. The most common charges are:
· Customer changes made to proofs. $15.00 minimum charge.

· A “No Proof” job that is canceled or changed in any way will result in the full cost of job being charged.

Cutouts and Adhesive Free Options:

Cutouts:
Check the checkbox for "I do have cutouts" if your label contains internal cutouts. You will be prompted for the number of internal cutouts your label includes. Cutouts are generally used for knobs and switches and can also be used to allow a display to show clearly.

Adhesive Free Areas:
Check the checkbox for "I do have Adhesive Free Areas" if you would like areas with no adhesive. You will be prompted for the number of adhesive free areas your label includes. Adhesive free areas are available only on 10 mil Lexan® Velvet Polycarbonate or 10 mil Crystal-Lex Clearview Polycarbonate. Count the number of areas without adhesive, keeping in mind you may combine areas to save money if the missing adhesive will not affect your label application.

If your control panel contains transparent windows, white will be added behind all other colors to make them opaque.
