Window Decal design should include the message you want to convey or the artwork you want to display. You want to make sure that your message stands out against the clear glass background and that it can be seen from an appropriate distance. When using clear or two-sided materials, we automatically include white ink in your price. This ensures that your message will be seen against the clear glass background. As an example, if you need your logo only, you will need to find the closest standard ink color available or use black as a solid stand by. Take into account, too, the color of the hard hat (or other item) your decals will be applied to. Make sure you have contrast so that the decal will stand out.

Custom Window Decal Sizes
The Window Decal size you select should be large enough to make your message and artwork visible from some distance. How far? That depends on your location and the field of view to your window. As a general rule, 12 point type is readable from a maximum distance of 6 feet, 24 point type from 12 feet, 36 point type from 18 feet and so on. If our standard sizes wont work for your custom window decal, remember, we offer custom sizes and shapes based on any design that you can provide us with.

The Outdoor Durability range is 3 years minimum, 5 years on average.
The decal "removability" range is 1 year minimum, 3+ years on average.

This adhesive has low peel value and should maintain clean removability from a variety of substrates including glass and mirrors. This material is recommended when dimensional stability or extreme solvent resistance is required (i.e. if gasoline or other solvents are likely to be spilled onto the custom window decal frequently).

Window Decal Ink Color Choices
25+ Standard Colors - OR - Use Your Own PMS Colors
Our standard Window Decal printing colors are shown to the left. You can also include up to three PMS ink colors for an additional charge.
Window Decal printing colors come from the Pantone Matching System, or PMS. PMS is a "solid-color" matching system, used primarily for specifying second or third colors in printing Window Decals - meaning colors in addition to black, (although, obviously, one can certainly print a one-color piece using a PMS color and no black at all).
We keep an array of base Pantone inks in our Window Decal printing shop, such as Warm Red, Rubine Red, Green, Yellow, Reflex Blue, and Violet.
Most PMS colors have a "recipe" that our print shop follows to achieve the desired Window Decal color. The base Window Decal colors, along with black and white, are combined in certain proportions within our print shop to achieve other PMS colors.
