Bumper sticker printing should take into consideration the type of message and artwork you have to display. As an example, if you need simple text to make a political statement or award a student, a one or 2 color PMS/Spot color bumper sticker is the right choice. If you need bumper sticker printing with a photograph, then you need to select CMYK/Process color bumper sticker printing.
Bumper stickers are made up of 4 basic components, which are bumper sticker size, bumper sticker material, bumper sticker liner printing and bumper sticker ink colors.
We explain each of these bumper sticker components below.

PMS/Spot Colors
Most bumper stickers are printed in PMS/Spot colors. Our standard bumper sticker printing colors are shown to the left. If these colors aren't what you need, you can provide us with your bumper sticker ink colors when you get your instant online bumper sticker quote.
The most popular bumper sticker printing colors come from the Pantone Matching System, or PMS. PMS is a "solid-color" matching system, used primarily for specifying second or third colors in bumper sticker printing - meaning colors in addition to black, (although, obviously, one can certainly print a one-color piece using a PMS color and no black all). We keep an array of base Pantone inks in our bumper sticker printing shop, such as Red, Rubine, Green, Yellow, Reflex Blue, and Teal. Most PMS colors have a "recipe" that our print shop follows to achieve the desired bumper sticker color. The base bumper sticker colors, along with black and white, are combined in certain proportions within our print shop to achieve other PMS colors. If it is very important to match a certain PMS color in your bumper sticker project, such as when a corporate logo color is used, you can tell us when you quote and place your bumper sticker order with our print shop. This will help ensure a close match.
By definition, CMYK/Process/4-color printing process uses only four inks to make all other colors. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black are combined to print bumper stickers with photos and images with screens and gradients. CMYK describes each color in terms of the quantity of each secondary color (cyan, magenta, yellow), and "key" (black) it contains. The CMYK system is used for printing bumper stickers and most other printed materials. For mixing of pigments, it is better to use the secondary colors, since they use subtractive mixing instead of additive mixing. The secondary colors of light are cyan, magenta and yellow, which correspond to the primary colors of pigment (blue, red and yellow). In addition, although black could be obtained by mixing these three in equal proportions, in four-color printing it always has its own ink.
