June 13, 2008 – Edmonds, Washington – MaverickLabel.Com, leading pioneer of label products via the Internet, today announced it has appointed John Hays to the position of IT Director. Mr. Hays most recently served as Information Architect / Portal Developer for Intermountain Healthcare.
"We are excited about the experience and leadership that John will bring to one of our key positions," said Mark Trumper, MaverickLabel.Com CEO. "After an exhaustive search, we feel we found the perfect fit to lead our IT Department," he went on to say.
John has over 25 years of computer Technology experience. His background includes being an Information Architect and E-Commerce Strategist at Intermountain Healthcare, as well as Chief Technology Officer at Overstock.com. Prior to these positions, he spent 12 years with Hewlett Packard, and worked with NeXT Computer, which was Steve Jobs’ company before his eventual return to Apple Computer.
"John brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism with him, as well as a strong programming / computer background and excellent leadership skills. We look forward to John’s passion as he leads Maverick’s technology team," Mr. Trumper added.
Mr. Hays received a B.S. in Computer Science from Excelsior College as well as an AAS from Community College of the Air Force in addition to studies at the University of Idaho and North Idaho College.
John and his family moved from Salt Lake City to the Seattle area. He officially began his new duties with MaverickLabel.Com on Tuesday, May 27, 2008.
