NatureFlex™ label films are made of regenerated cellulose, which begins its life as wood pulp from managed plantations. This is a more sustainable alternative than petroleum derived films or corn-based films. It is engineered to be biodegradable in all industrial and home composting environments. According to the manufacturer’s literature, when placed in compost, NatureFlex™ label film breaks down into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water, and has been shown to fully biodegrade in 16 weeks in an ambient composting environment.
