PROOF POLICY
We strongly urge you to request a proof.
Digital web proofs are free. Your complimentary digital web proof will be posted within 24 hours of receipt. You will be able to approve your proof or indicate changes on-line. If you request changes, another proof will be posted. Instructions will be emailed to you advising you that your proof has been posted to you and how to approve it automatically. You will be able to approve the proof via email.
Charges may apply to customer changes to web color proofs. Corrections to proof errors made by us are not charged to customer.
IMPORTANT
If you opt not to have a proof you waive the complimentary proof option and your order will be released for production immediately. No changes or alterations to your order will be possible. Any changes or cancellation of a non-proofed order will result in billing of full price of job. We are not responsible for artwork related errors or color variations in the finished product if you select "no" proof.
ARTWORK INFORMATION AND POLICIES
We strongly urge you to provide Macintosh files for your artwork. However, we support the most recent Macintosh and Windows versions of: • Adobe® Illustrator® saved as .ai, .eps, or .pdf • Adobe® Photoshop® saved with layers as .tiff, .eps, or .psd • QuarkXPress™ collect for output • Adobe® InDesign® package file
• All PANTONE® spot colors should be converted to PANTONE process colors before saving the file (unless additional spot colors have been selected). Also, please provide documentation of original Pantone® Color Book date of original PANTONE spot color numbers used in file before converting to CMYK.
• Preferably, all text in final artwork should be submitted with fonts outlined (converted to curves or paths). Note: be sure artwork is correct as editing of text will not be available with outlined fonts. If artwork is submitted with fonts, all screen and printer fonts need to be included when file is sent. If an IBM font is used in your electronic file, the printer and screen font must be supplied. Providing fonts will ensure we can make any changes to your text if necessary.
• Bleeds must have artwork extending at least 1/8" beyond the die-line on each side that bleeds.
• Registration is held to plus or minus 1/100". Keep text and critical artwork inset a minimum of 1/16" (0.0625") from the label edge..
• Artwork must be a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at actual printed size and in CMYK format. All images
should be in CMYK format. Placed images should be single subject, i.e. do not place image in Illustrator®, then place the Illustrator® file in QuarkXpress™. Keep design in one program.
• Screens are run at 150 lines per inch.
Additional Charges May Apply if:
• The above guidelines are not followed.
• Changes are made to proofs. $15 minimum charge.
• Non-proofed order is cancelled or changed in any way. Full cost of order will be billed.

Embossed Labels
Embossing means to press an image into the paper so that the image then lies above the surface. Our process for doing this is called "heat stamping" -sometimes referred to as "cameo" and "tool".
Your labels can be embossed in with a image only (no printing) - or they can be embossed with foil stamping to add color and additional effect to the non-embossed area of your label.
Foil Stamp Labels
Foil stamping is a method of printing that releases foil to the surface of your label when the foil is stamped with a heated die. This process is sometimes referred to as block print or hot foil stamp and stamp.
Foil labels are not embossed, though the foil area can appear to be slightly raised. For information about embossed labels with foil stamping, please see the information above.
